Education and Awareness Programs

Counseling and Intervention Services

Community Outreach and Engagement

Youth Programs and Mentorship
Violence prevention services targeting youth aim to provide positive alternatives, skill-building, and mentorship opportunities to young people at risk of involvement in violence. These programs may include after-school activities, sports, arts, leadership development, and mentorship programs to foster positive youth development.
Victim Support and Advocacy
Services for victims of violence focus on providing emotional support, counseling, legal advocacy, and practical assistance to help survivors recover and rebuild their lives. These services may also include access to medical care, housing support, and financial assistance.

Second Chance Initiative, Inc. (SCI), is a Chicago-based 501(c)3 organization devoted to creating violence-free environments within communities experiencing high levels of gun violence. The organization has a proven track record of providing evidence-based violence prevention, intervention and conflict resolution programs.
